SEND Teaching Assistant- Alcester

Monarch Education are an Education Recruitment Agency who specialise in placing Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Nursery Practitioners etc. in their ideal roles. Monarch Education are currently working alongside a Primary School in the Alcester area to find a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to start ASAP until the end of the Academic Year.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work alongside the Class Teacher to promote a positive and engaging setting for all pupils as well as supporting the delivery of quality learning and teaching of pupils with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

  • Experience working with SEN particularly Autism is essential
  • Assisting in the development of pupil support plans (such as EHC and Myplan outcomes)
  • Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupils;
  • Support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher and in line with health and safety requirements
  • Determined to succeed and be passionate about supporting the student’s development.
  • Working with students who have a range of significant and often complex SEND for example those with autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties,

Ideally you would hold a Level 2/3 within the Education or Childcare setting;

Your application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working an Education Setting.
