Do you have a passion for supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity available for education specialists to work at a prominent SEN school in Peterborough, offering multiple roles for SEND Teaching Assistants to start immediately.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will stretch far more than assisting with teaching. You will be supporting students aged 11 – 19 with Severe, Complex and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and ASD. While initially temporary, there is potential for a permanent position following a successful induction period, pending mutual satisfaction.

Key information

  • Competitive pay rates from £90 to £100 a day depending on experience
  • Provided education on and off school site
  • Working with pupils that have various special educational needs and/or social, emotional & mental health needs

What are we looking for?

  • At least a year’s experience of working with children who have SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • A proven track record of delivering primary or secondary education
  • Understanding of & commitment to safeguarding
  • A resilient personality and creative flair
