Special Needs Learning Mentor

£12.82 – £15 an hour (Depending on experience)
Full Time 8:30am-3:30pm
Start Date : September 2nd, permanent
We are proud to partner with a Specialist SEND Primary school in Birmingham, seeking out a Learning Mentor. While a qualified learning mentor is not necessary, applicants must have some experience working with SEND/Disabilities
Applicants will be expected to support the educational journey of students with special educational needs, follow individualised learning plans (EHCP’s), and collaborate with teachers.

What actually is the role?
You would be working in a community special school for students aged 2 to 19 years, who have cognition and learning difficulties, in addition to physical disabilities and/or complex health care needs. The actual role itself, would involve guiding special needs children through their educational journey, with the use of sensory play, assisted learning and music therapy. You would be collaborating with Teachers and parents to overall improve the children’s day to day life.
