Monarch Education is looking for a compassionate and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a friendly and welcoming primary school located in the NN3 area of Northampton.

The school are looking for a full time TA who can start as soon as possible to support a child with a hearing impairment. It essential that the successful candidate has previous experience with this need however, they do not need to be trained in BSL.

This is a full-time opportunity starting immediately and for the right candidate could lead to a permanent position.

As 1:1 TA you will be responsible for:

  • 1:1 and small group work
  • Working alongside teaching staff to plan and evaluate as well as adjusting some learning and using intervention strategies when appropriate
  • Observing and monitoring the children and reporting back to the class teacher
  • Providing a nurturing and caring environment for the young person

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have experience working with SEN students – Must have experience supporting young people with hearing impairment
  • Have a dynamic and positive work ethic
  • Have a warm and empathetic approach
