Monarch Education is looking for a compassionate and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a friendly and welcoming special needs school in the Cotgrave area. This is a large school that caters for children with a wide variety of needs including Autism.

The school are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within their secondary provision. Some of the learners are non-verbal so previous experience is desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate or Support Worker with SEN experience or a Residential Support Worker looking to pursue a career within education!

This is a part time opportunity, 4 days per week, starting immediately and for the right candidate could lead to a permanent position.

As a TA you will be responsible for:

  • 1:1 and small group work
  • Working alongside teaching staff to plan and evaluate as well as adjusting some learning and using intervention strategies when appropriate
  • Observing and monitoring the children
  • Managing challenging behaviour

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have experience working with SEN students
  • Have a dynamic and positive work ethic
  • Have a warm and empathetic approach
