Speech and Language Teaching Assistant

Fantastic pay rates between £400.00- £500.00, per week!

Monarch Education are actively recruiting in collaboration with a partnered, special school in Bristol, for dedicated and speech and Language teaching assistants. These rewarding positions are to work on the Primary, Secondary or Post 16 sites in BS5 and BS16.

About:

These exciting opportunities are both full- time and long-term. The school is led by a dedicated senior leadership team, providing an environment of guidance, progression, and continual support in the role. The hours at the school are 8.45-15:45, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The school is looking for staff who understand and have experience working with special educational needs, with either children or adults. For the right candidate/s, we will offer introductions to the school. This position will go permanent, with the opportunities starting February 2024.

In these environments, you will be supporting individual students on either a 1:1, or group basis. Your students may have SEND needs including autism, profound multiple learning disabilities, severe learning difficulties and speech and language difficulties. You will bring your pupils education to life through creativity, immersion and thinking outside the box. Under the guidance of the class teacher you’ll be supporting students, to achieve defined progression with their educational health care plan, progressional targets, aiding their development, both socially and in their education. You will help in maintaining discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with your pupils.

Suitable candidates can be any of the following:

– Suitable for NQT’s or qualified teachers

– Qualified Teaching Assistants

– Previous experience of speech and language therapy with either children or adults

– Previous experience as a probation officer

– Previous health care or support/social working experience

– Graduate in the following topics: Acting, Music, Performing Arts, Psychology

– Previous SEND Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant with experience

– 3/6 Months Experience of working with children

– Sports Coach background

– Available to start ASAP!

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

* Have a right to work in the UK

* Provide one recent child-based reference (if possible) and relevant DBS/Police checks (we can support with your DBS application).
