Supply Design Technology Teacher – Secondary School | March 2026 Start

Location: Cheltenham
Contract: Supply / Full Time (Monday-Friday)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Are you a passionate and adaptable Design Technology teacher seeking a flexible role that still offers consistency and professional variety? We are looking for dedicated Supply Design Technology Teachers to support a selection of thriving secondary schools across Cheltenham, covering regular requirements within Resistant Materials, Product Design, Food Technology, Textiles, and Engineering. DT specialists are strongly encouraged to apply, though we also welcome teachers from creative, technical, or vocational backgrounds who can deliver well-structured, engaging lessons.

Supply teaching provides an excellent way to broaden your experience, explore different school cultures, and maintain a strong work-life balance-without the additional pressures of planning-heavy or permanent responsibilities. Many supply bookings naturally progress into longer-term or permanent positions, giving you flexibility now and opportunities for the future.

The schools you will work with offer positive, supportive environments where students are encouraged to explore ideas, build practical skills, and develop confidence in their technical abilities. They promote ambition, creativity, and strong relationships, ensuring students feel valued, motivated, and ready to succeed. With high expectations, thoughtful pastoral care, and a commitment to enrichment, young people are supported academically and personally in communities that celebrate achievement and innovation.

Why Cheltenham Schools?

  • Warm, inclusive school communities built on shared values
  • A culture of respect, ambition, and excellent behaviour
  • Strong pastoral systems supporting wellbeing and character
