Supply English Teacher – Secondary School | March 2026 Start

Location: Bath
Contract: Supply / Full‑time (Monday-Friday)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Are you an inspiring and enthusiastic English teacher looking for a flexible role that supports a healthy work-life balance? We are seeking dedicated Supply English Teachers to work across secondary schools in Bath, with regular demand for high‑quality cover in English and Literacy. While English specialists are particularly encouraged to apply, we also welcome teachers from related backgrounds who can deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the curriculum.

Supply teaching is an excellent opportunity to experience new school environments, develop your professional practice, and enjoy greater flexibility-without the additional responsibilities of a permanent role. Many short‑term roles naturally progress into long‑term or permanent positions, giving you freedom as well as clear pathways for future progression.

The school provides a warm, ambitious, and supportive environment where students are encouraged to take pride in their learning and aim high. It fosters a culture where every learner feels valued, motivated, and inspired to reach their potential. With outstanding teaching, strong pastoral systems, and a diverse range of enrichment opportunities, students are given the tools they need to flourish both academically and personally. An emphasis on aspiration, positive relationships, and student voice ensures young people feel confident, empowered, and part of a community that celebrates achievement.
