About the Role
As a Supply Maths Teacher, you will deliver clear, engaging, and well‑structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will bring strong subject knowledge, adaptability, and a calm presence into a range of classrooms. Your teaching will help students build confidence in key mathematical concepts, problem‑solving, and logical reasoning. You will establish positive routines quickly, promote purposeful learning, and inspire students to enjoy Maths while taking pride in their progress. Your work will support the school’s commitment to high‑quality teaching and a values‑driven, ambitious curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, curriculum‑aligned Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing strong numeracy, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills
- Follow school policies, lesson plans, and schemes of work where required
- Maintain an organised, calm, and focused classroom environment
- Encourage confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude towards Maths
- Provide additional support to students needing help with confidence, focus, or behaviour
- Contribute positively to the school’s inclusive, community‑minded culture
- Promote high standards in mathematical thinking and independent learning
What We’re Looking For
- QTS or relevant secondary Maths teaching experience
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, stretch, and support students of varying abilities
- A positive, adaptable, and proactive teaching approach
- Genuine passion for Mathematics and helping young people succeed
- Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and school values
- Experience within secondary settings preferred; ECTs are welcome
