Location: Weston‑Super‑Mare
Contract Type: Full-Time Supply (Monday-Friday)
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Daily Rate: £85.00 – £120.00 (dependent on experience)

We are working with a range of mainstream and specialist settings who are seeking reliable and compassionate Supply SEND TAs to provide high-quality support for pupils with a variety of additional learning needs.

About the Role

As a Supply SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory needs. You may work 1:1, in small groups, or support SEND pupils within the classroom depending on the school’s requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to students with SEND
    * Assist teaching staff in delivering accessible and differentiated learning
    * Help pupils stay engaged, confident, and emotionally regulated
    * Promote independence, positive behaviour, and wellbeing
    * Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs (where required)
    * Follow EHCP targets, behaviour plans, and safeguarding procedures
    * Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
    * Adapt confidently to different school environments and expectations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
    * Strong communication, patience, and resilience
    * Understanding of autism, SEMH, or other additional needs (desirable)
    * Ability to remain calm, nurturing, and proactive
    * Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
    * Suitable for experienced SEND TAs, graduates, or aspiring SEN practitioners
