Supply Teacher

Area: Rushden and surrounding areas

Salary: £130 – £189 p/day

Hours: Part time, 2-3 days p/week

Start date: ASAP

Mainstream primary schools in Rushden and surrounding areas are looking for Supply Teachers to support on a long term but part time basis. Our schools are needing support covering Teacher absences and can offer regular work for Teachers looking for 2-3 days p/week. Staff must be able to arrive at schools for 8:30am and finish at 3:30pm.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to work full time for one term or more
• Have a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English
• Have earned QTS or the equivalent
• Have Teaching experience or references commenting on their experience as a Teacher
• Understand EHCP’s
• Be able to supply references covering the last 2 years of employment
• Be able to support students on a 1:1 basis or in groups
• Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Be able to plan lessons thoroughly or follow other plans created by Teachers
• Lead a class of 15 – 20 children
• Be able to follow lesson plans or create your own

Main Responsibilities:

• Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
• Supporting SEND and SEMH children
• Managing difficult behaviours
• Marking
• Taking the register
• Supervising on lunch and break times
• Supporting and managing a number of teaching assistants within the classroom
• Building relationships with staff, pupils and parents
• Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
• Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
