Teaching Assistant – Kettering

Monarch Education are an Education Recruitment Agency who specialise in placing Teachers and Teaching Assistants in their ideal roles. Monarch Education are currently working alongside Secondary Schools in the Northampton area to find a Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. This role will be to continue in September and it will be working in a series of SEN Schools throughout Northamptonshire so a driver is crutial.

The candidate for this role will work under the instruction/guidance of senior/teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

  • Working with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
  • Revising lesson material with students individually or in small groups.
  • Ensuring the classroom environment is safe and clean.
  • Overseeing students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions.
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding/child protection, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Your application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working an Education Setting.
