Essential Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
• Proven experience teaching Year 4 or similar KS2 year groups
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
• Ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to diverse learning needs
• Committed to safeguarding and providing a safe, inclusive environment
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that promote pupil engagement, progress, and enjoyment of learning. You will foster a positive classroom environment, support pupils’ social and emotional development, and work closely with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering creative and differentiated lessons across the Year 4 curriculum, including core subjects and creative areas
• Monitoring and assessing pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum and reach their potential
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively using positive behaviour strategies
• Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages respect and collaboration
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues
• Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
• Contributing to school improvement initiatives and team planning
