Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Dudley from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator to inspire students and contribute to a high-achieving department within a supportive school environment.

About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will play a vital role in fostering students’ curiosity about the world around them, developing their geographical skills, and supporting their progress towards academic excellence. You will contribute to the creation of a positive learning environment where students are motivated to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography lessons that meet national curriculum standards
• Develop engaging resources and activities to enhance student understanding of physical and human geography, map skills, and geographical enquiry
• Assess student work regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic progress
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and geographical literacy among students
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development within the classroom
• Track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities related to Geography
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and independent learning
• Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and staff meetings

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level is essential
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and current geographical issues
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Ability to inspire interest and enthusiasm for Geography among students
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan effectively
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
