Primary Teacher – Year 5 (Full-Time), Matlock – Summer Term

About the Role

Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Primary Teacher for a full-time position in a welcoming primary school in Matlock. This role will run for the full Summer Term, offering a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during an important stage of their KS2 learning journey.

As the Year 5 class teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring all pupils are supported to make strong progress. Planning and marking will be required as this is a full-time class-based role for the duration of the term.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Teaching and leading the Year 5 class on a full-time basis
  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
  • Supporting pupil progress, attainment, and overall wellbeing
  • Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Contributing to the wider school community as a valued team member

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    * Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools
    * Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
    * Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
    * A flexible, professional, and committed approach
