Year 1 Class Teacher – Swindon

Are you a passionate KS1 Teacher ready for a fresh challenge in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swindon are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join their vibrant team and guide a class of 30 enthusiastic learners through an exciting stage of their educational journey.

The role is a full time and will be at the beginning of June 2026. There is a possibility for the role to become permanent as the school are advertising the role for September 2026.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and caring KS1 teacher who brings energy, creativity, and a child-centred approach to the classroom. Ideally, you will have:

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in year 1
• Strong classroom management and planning skills
• A warm, inclusive teaching style that supports all learners
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and enrichment activities
