Early Years Specialist Teacher (Reception)

Full‑Time, Long‑Term Position- September Start
Two‑Form Entry Primary School – Alum Rock, Birmingham

Monarch Education are seeking a passionate and skilled Early Years Specialist Teacher to work within a friendly and inclusive two‑form entry primary school in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham, working full time in Reception.

This is a long‑term opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is committed to giving children the very best start to their educational journey.

About the Role

  • Full‑time class teacher in Reception
  • Working within a well‑established Early Years Foundation Stage team
  • Planning and delivering engaging, child‑centred learning experiences
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Using ongoing assessment to support progress and development
  • Working closely with parents, carers and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have strong Early Years experience and a sound understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Be knowledgeable about child development, phonics and early language acquisition
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and nurturing classroom practice
  • Be reflective, organised and committed to high standards
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Have experience working in a culturally diverse setting (desirable)
