Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Alfreton on a part-time basis (3 days per week) from September through to December.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a KS1 specialist or passionate primary teacher looking for a flexible teaching role within a supportive school environment.


The Role

  • Teaching a Year 1 class (Key Stage 1)
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Working closely with TA support, staff, and parents

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in KS1 / Year 1 (preferred)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire young learners
  • Reliable, organised, and committed to high teaching standards
