Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Kings Heath to recruit an Early Years Teacher for a full-time role.

This position involves teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting children at the start of their school journey. You will be responsible for planning and delivering activities in line with the EYFS framework, supporting development across communication, language, literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Support pupils’ early development across all areas of learning
  • Observe, assess and record pupil progress
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of all children
  • Support children with routines, behaviour and social development
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Requirements

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Early Years within a UK school
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and assessment processes
  • Ability to plan and deliver practical, play-based learning
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
