Monarch Education are recruiting a Maths and Science Teacher for a full time, long term role within a specialist SEN setting in Loughborough from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and nurturing school who are committed to providing the highest level of support and education to their pupils.

Whilst the role is initially available on a full-time and long term basis there is potential for this to become permanent for the right applicant.

About the Role

You will deliver Maths and Science lessons across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4, adapting your teaching to meet a range of needs and abilities.

You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a strong leadership team, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver Maths and Science lessons tailored to individual needs
Differentiate learning for pupils with SEN
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs
Use consistent behaviour management strategies
Create a structured, safe and positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN professionals

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths and or Science
Experience working with SEN or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
Strong behaviour management skills
Calm, patient and resilient approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
