Monarch Education are recruiting a Year 2 Teacher for a full time role in a primary school in Derby from September 2026.

This is a great opportunity for a committed and confident teacher looking to work in a supportive school environment and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, ensuring pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with support staff and the wider school team to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high quality lessons for a Year 2 class
Assess and monitor pupil progress
Manage behaviour effectively
Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with staff and support teams
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Strong classroom management skills
Organised and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
