Teacher

Monarch Education are recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist PMLD school serving the Erdington, Castle Vale and Tyburn Road area of Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, physical disabilities and communication needs.

The role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering highly personalised lessons that focus on communication, sensory development, engagement and life skills. Pupils follow individual learning pathways and require a creative, flexible and relationship-led approach.

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families
• Support pupils with complex medical, sensory and communication needs
• Use a range of strategies including sensory learning, AAC and engagement-based approaches
• Track and celebrate progress, no matter how small

We are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR substantial SEND teaching experience within the UK
• Previous experience working with PMLD, SLD, complex needs or severe SEND
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A nurturing and patient approach
• A genuine passion for specialist education
• UK classroom experience is essential
