Teaching Assistant

Area: Birmingham

Salary: £84 -96 a day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week

Monarch Education are recruiting for a school in Birmingham who are looking for someone to take both a sports and classroom based role. The role will give the individual the chance to both assist students in Physical Education and other lessons as well as the opportunity to support their personal development.

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Working with children in the classroom setting
  • Working with students one to one
  • Acting as a positive role model to students
  • Taking an interest in and supporting the wellbeing of students
  • Supporting children with challenging behaviour to engage in class

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Can engage children in and out of the classroom
  • Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Has a can-do positive attitude
