Area: South Birmingham

Salary: £60-£100 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: 35 hours a week

Start date: September 2024

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for work? Do you have a passion for teaching?

Monarch is recruiting a Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 or 3 Qualification to take on a role at Primary School in South Birmingham. This school is known for its community feel and supportive Senior Leadership Team. The Teaching Assistant will be supporting learners to make progress in all subjects. They must have experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.


  • Supporting the classroom teacher
  • Reporting problems to the classroom teacher
  • Monitoring and evaluation of pupil progress
  • Delivering small group interventions
  • Behaviour management
  • Working closely with other Teaching staff

Requirements of the candidate:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a classroom setting
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who can support and inspire children to learn.
  • Be willing to commute to South Birmingham
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
  • The ability to adapt to an ever changing workload
  • Experience in supporting pupils will additional needs (desirable but not essential)
