Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Bury

A primary school in Bury is seeking to appoint a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support within their Year 6 class to cover an extended period of absence for a term, potentially longer. This role is full-time; Monday to Friday, 9am-3.30pm.

As the successful Teaching Assistant, you will:

– Be familiar and comfortable with supporting the Year 6 curriculum

– Have experience of working with pupils of primary school age

– Have good English and Maths skills

– Be comfortable leading small groups of pupils for interventions sessions and effectively managing behaviour

– Display a calm, patient demeanour with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment

– Be a qualified Teaching Assistant at either Level 2 or 3 or the equivalent. Degree-qualified Graduates are also very welcome to apply
