Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are working with diverse and vibrant primary school in the heart of Smethwick who are looking for experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to work within their year 2 class. The role is to start in January 2024 on a temporary contract. You MUST hold childcare qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have

• Prior experience of being class based and preferably in KS1.
• Be experienced supporting children with challenging behaviours.
• Be confident working with children to minimise disruption and distraction to help improve concentration, behaviour and learning.
• Be experienced working with children who need support to raise attainment; using creative resources and different approaches to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Have a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 including Phonics.
• Hold a childcare qualification.
