Teaching Assistant

Primary TA/SEN TA – Bury (BL9)

Monarch Education are working in association with a local primary school in the Bury area. The school are looking to hire a Teaching Assistant to work full time Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm on a full-time basis. This role will be commencing after the Easter holidays until the end of the academic year in July and will be working as a general TA in Year 4 in the morning, then year 2 in the afternoon working 1:1 with a SEMH pupil.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working in a Primary school and with SEN
• Be resilient and confident with challenging behaviour
• Have a nurturing personality and be non-judgemental
• Be able to follow instructions and be pro-active
• Adhere to the school safeguarding policies
• Have a passion to work with children
• Previous experience working in a Primary School is desired but not essential

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant

• Have previous experience of working with special educational needs or in care
• Able to travel daily to Bury (BL9) area
• Have a child DBS registered to the update service or be willing to complete one
• Have right to work in the UK.

This school is part of a multi academy trust, is small in nature with around 230 pupils but has a high proportion of SEN in every year group, with various needs. They pride themselves on providing children with a happy and stimulating environment in which they can learn, develop and achieve.
