Monarch Education are seeking a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to work within a vibrant and supportive school environment. The role is based in Birmingham and will commence from September, supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s education and development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support classroom activities, assist individual pupils with their learning, and contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging environment. Your role will involve supervising activities, helping to prepare and clear away classroom resources, and fostering positive relationships with pupils to support their progress.

The Candidate will need:

  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting
  • Ability to work with pupils across secondary age ranges
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student well-being
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting classroom activities
  • Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and resources
  • Supporting individual pupils with their learning needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Monitoring pupil progress and behaviour, reporting findings to teachers
  • Contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
