SEND Support Teaching Assistant – KS1 & KS2
Location: Erdington
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Monarch Education is looking for an experienced SEND Support Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Erdington. The role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs across both KS1 and KS2. This is a full-time, long-term position available for an immediate start.

About the Role:
You will work alongside teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support to pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and thrive within an inclusive classroom setting. Your role will be key in fostering a positive learning environment that promotes progress and confidence for every child.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND in KS1 and KS2
  • Assist in the delivery of individualized education plans and support strategies
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Observe, track, and communicate pupil progress and needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND in UK primary schools at KS1 and KS2 levels
  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification or equivalent – ESSENTIAL
  • A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting diverse learners
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
