Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Student with ASC

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Birmingham for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Role Overview:
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a bright and engaging student with ASC, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure the student receives consistent, tailored support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a student with ASC
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience supporting children or young people with ASC or other SEND
• Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
