Salary: £25,583.00 to £25,989.00 per annum (pro rata £22,004.82 to £22,354.04 per annum)


About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

You will play a key role in supporting students’ educational and social development, helping them to achieve outstanding progress and fully participate in school life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and support strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour among students.
  • Support the use of IT and specialist resources to enhance learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment activities and trips.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications:
    • 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grades 9-4 (A*-C).
    • Level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3 or A Level).
  • Experience:
    • Practical experience working with children in an educational setting.
    • Experience supporting children with complex needs, including speech and language.
  • Skills & Qualities:
    • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
    • Ability to work one-to-one, in small groups, and with whole classes.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • Commitment to inclusion and overcoming barriers to learning.
