Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1 & 2 (SEND Support)

Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in both KS1 and KS2. The role is available for an immediate start.

About the Role:
The appointed candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide support that helps pupils with SEND access the curriculum and participate fully in the classroom. The role involves working with children with a range of needs, ensuring they receive appropriate support to enable their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Assist in the implementation of tailored strategies to meet individual needs
• Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to the teaching team

Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with SEND in a UK primary school setting, specifically in KS1 and/or KS2
• Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Calm, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
