SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Mansfield
Pay: £90-£125 per day
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time (3 to 5 days per week)
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm

About the Role
Monarch Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Mansfield to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, and behaviours that challenge. This is a permanent role with either full time or part time options available (3, 4 or 5 days per week)
You will work both 1:1 and in small groups, delivering tailored interventions and supporting emotional regulation and engagement. The school operates across multiple sites, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Deliver targeted interventions and assist with personalised learning plans
- Support emotional regulation and sensory needs using tools such as PECS and visual timetables
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress
- Promote independence, engagement, and a safe learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role
- Background in supporting children or young people with Autism, ADHD, or developmental delay
- Understanding of EYFS and sensory integration strategies (desirable)
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach with a commitment to consistency
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
