About the Role

Monarch Education are seeking an experienced and passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in North Manchester (M40). This full‑time position begins in February 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the academic year.

You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, supporting both their academic progress and emotional well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN specialist who thrives on making a meaningful difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
  • Support the class teacher in adapting resources and activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion across the school day.
  • Use initiative to create a nurturing learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents and external professionals.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience working with SEN in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and differentiated learning.
  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to support.
  • Ability to commit to a full‑time role until July 2026.
