Monarch Education are delighted to be supporting a client school in the Denton (M34) area, who are seeking a committed Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026.

This is a full-time position, working within a supportive school environment that places a strong emphasis on providing high-quality provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering targeted interventions
• Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
• Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and external agencies when required

This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with children with SEND in a school or care setting
• A patient, compassionate and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
