Monarch Education is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Oldham. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional support, providing both 1:1 assistance and delivering targeted small-group interventions. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and make sustained progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high‑quality 1:1 SEN support, tailored to individual needs
- Delivering small-group interventions to boost literacy, numeracy and social skills
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering activities
- Supporting positive behaviour strategies and creating an inclusive environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Contributing to assessments and keeping accurate support records
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis
- Experience delivering intervention sessions to small groups
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
- Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential
