Monarch Education are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support a thriving secondary school with a strong Performing Arts focus from September.

The school are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and engaging support staff who can build positive relationships with young people and help them succeed both academically and personally. Candidates with backgrounds in drama, music, dance, performing arts, youth work, mentoring, coaching, SEND support and behaviour intervention are all encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time, long-term position and would be ideal for someone passionate about education, creativity and making a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

What the role will involve:

  • Supporting students across a range of subjects and lessons
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Encouraging student engagement, participation and confidence
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Assisting students with emotional regulation and wellbeing
  • Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement
  • Using creative approaches to support learning and development
  • Building strong relationships with students and staff
  • Supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and inspiring learning environment

The school are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive, energetic and proactive attitude
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Confidence working in a secondary school environment
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Experience with SEND, SEMH or behaviour support would be beneficial
  • A background in drama, music, performing arts, coaching or mentoring would be highly desirable
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
