Monarch Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Banbury, Oxfordshire from November on a long-term basis.

This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils within the school’s SEND Resource Base Provision, working closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, communication difficulties and additional learning needs.

The successful candidate will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, develop independence and make positive progress both academically and socially.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or in a similar support role
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH or complex needs
  • Recent experience working within UK primary schools
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to meet all compliance requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential
