SEND Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

£92.59-£130 per day, dependent on experience

Monarch Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a cluster of welcoming primary schools in Wantage, Oxfordshire on a long-term basis from November.

This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across a variety of settings, year groups and key stages. You will work closely with children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs and other complex learning needs.

The successful candidate will provide both 1:1 and small group intervention support, helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop social skills and achieve positive outcomes within the classroom environment.

To be considered, you will need:

* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar role
* Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH or complex needs
* Recent experience working within UK primary schools
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
* Confidence supporting pupils across different age groups and educational settings
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to meet all compliance requirements
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential
