Monarch Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools and early years settings across Stockport. These full-time opportunities are ideal for candidates who are passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping young learners thrive during their crucial early years of development.

As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children within Nursery and Reception classes, helping to create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and wider school staff to support children’s academic, social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within EYFS settings
• Deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
• Encourage children’s communication, language, literacy and numeracy development
• Promote positive behaviour and independence
• Assist with observations, assessments and learning journals
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Recent and relevant experience working within EYFS settings or primary schools
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, nurturing and proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEND
• Knowledge of phonics schemes and early intervention strategies
