Monarch Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 or 3 Qualification to take on a role at Primary School in Walsall. This role is a full time position from January until the end of the academic year, with potential of this role continuing up until Christmas. We are looking for someone to work within the Key stage 1 department, mainly focusing on year 1 students.

Our partner school is eager to find an enthusiastic, compassionate and articulate individual with the skills to support the students throughout their education. The school is looking for someone who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and helping children achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be creative, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality education to our KS1 students.

Requirements of Applicant:

  • Level 3 / Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification, or in a similar field
  • Previous experience of working in a Primary School with individuals or small groups of pupils
  • Able to promote an environment of acceptance and inclusion for all children

Main Duties and Responsibility:

  • Work with individual/groups with special educational needs
  • Maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils
  • Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivery of lessons
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities to promote learning and development
  • Encourage the children to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
