Full Time Teaching Assistant, Bicester

We are currently an enthusiastic and committed secondary Teaching Assistant based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

A secondary school in Bicester are looking for a a full time teaching assistant to join their Key Stage 3 with an immediate start. You will be working full time (8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday) and will work alongside a team of experienced and dedicated teaching assistants to provide support to pupils aged 11 – 14 years old..

A good understanding of supporting pupils with additional learning needs would be very beneficial. There are a number of pupils with additional needs and part of your role will be to encourage their communication and social skills on a 1:1 basis. Experience of positively managing behaviour is also desirable. In class training will be provided for Literacy schemes and support will be given to applicants without classroom based experience. We welcome applications from all levels of experience, including coaching, counselling and those who have worked in after school clubs.

Job responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teachers with daily activities
• Creating a positive environment where all pupils can excel and learn creatively
• Observing and assessing individual pupil development and progress
