About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across KS3 and KS4, helping students stay engaged, organised, and confident throughout the school day. A key part of your role will involve supporting the Behaviour Support Room, where you will help students regulate, reflect, and prepare to rejoin lessons with a positive attitude. This space provides a calm, structured environment for students to reset, while continuing their academic work so they remain on track. This role suits someone patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting both learning and behaviour in a consistent, constructive way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
  • Help keep students focused, motivated, and progressing
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group intervention
  • Assist within the Behaviour Support Room, helping students refocus and reintegrate
  • Encourage positive routines, behaviour, and learning habits
  • Support teachers in preparing resources and classroom activities
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all
  • Play an active role in students’ academic progress and personal development
