Salary: £100-£130 (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week (or ad-hoc flexible)

Monarch Education is working with a large secondary school and primary school located on the outskirts of central Northampton.

The school are looking for appoint PE specialist to cover across both the primary and secondary site. There are a number of gaps within the school timetable so the successful candidate will be expected to step in across the school and provide whole class support.

You are not required to have a teaching qualification to be successful, just up to date and relevant experience working with young people. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate or someone who is potentially looking to start a career in education.

This position will allow you to gain experience managing a variety of lessons and building rapport with students. This is a chance to develop teaching and strong classroom management skills in an environment where planning will always be in place.

This is a full time fixed term position.

Responsibilities:

• Working across a range of different year groups and departments
• Managing the behaviour of students
• Supervising pre-planned, pre-set work from teachers
• Covering PE lessons

Requirements of the Candidate:

• Recent and relevant experience working with young people, this can be in an educational, coaching or care setting
• Degree educated
• Be passionate and committed to working with children in education
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills
• Be punctual, flexible and reliable
