Welfare Support Officer

Location: Shrewsbury

Pay: £14.00 an hour

Start date: ASAP

40 Hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of people? Do you have experience in providing support and guidance to vulnerable individuals? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Welfare Support Officer at one of our centres.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the effective and safe support of service users
  • Providing practical and emotional support to service users
  • Facilitating cultural inductions
  • Organising recreational activities
  • Providing information and ensuring all service users have access to healthcare, and other essential services.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
  • An empathetic and non-judgmental approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.

Your application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working an Education or Childcare Setting.
