Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2025

Employment Type: Temporary role with a strong possibility to be taken on Permanently after a trail period.

They are dedicated to fostering the individual growth and development of each child and are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

– Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to Reception-aged children.

– Assist with the personal care needs of students, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the school day.

– Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

– Work with small groups and individual students, providing additional support where needed.

– Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to enhance the school community.

– Maintain high standards of safeguarding and promote the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

– Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.

– A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.

– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

– A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
