Full-Time Year 2 General Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Monday 13th April

Contract: Full-time, starting Monday 13th April until the end of the academic year

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 General Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive in their learning and personal development.

About the Role:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the Year 2 class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
  • Assist in creating a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Help prepare resources and support the smooth running of lessons
  • Contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development
  • Supervise children during breaktimes as required


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of a level 3 qualification relating to childcare or similar
  • Experience working in KS1
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Good communication skills
