Monarch Education are recruiting on behalf of a 2-form entry Primary school in Erdington. The school are looking to appoint a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Reception on a 1:1 Basis.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous experience in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). To apply you will need to be able to provide relevant references which can support your ability to work with children and have a minimum of a level 3 qualification.

This is a full-time position starting on Monday 2nd September and run for the duration of 1 year until July 2025. Working Hours; Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

Job Description:

  • Supporting the classroom Teacher with daily tasks and activities
  • Preparing resources and the classroom
  • Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD
  • Taking an interest in and supporting the well-being of students both physically and mentally
  • Monitor pupil progress and identifying gap in learning
  • Building trusting relationships with students and prioritising their social and emotional wellbeing.
