Year 4 Teacher

Area: NG4

Salary: £140 – £185 p/day

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start date: Monday 15th April until 24th July 2024 (with the view to extend)

A mainstream primary school in the NG4 area are looking for a Year 4 Teacher to support on a long term and full time basis. This school are needing support with some short term planning but all long term planning is complete. Staff are entitled to PPA time and will be included in staff training.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to work full time with the view to staying in September
  • Have a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English
  • Have earned QTS or the equivalent
  • Have Teaching experience or references commenting on their experience as a Teacher
  • Understand EHCP’s
  • Be able to supply references covering the last 2 years of employment
  • Be able to support students on a 1:1 basis or in groups
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be able to plan lessons thoroughly or follow other plans created by Teachers
  • Lead a class of 15 – 20 children
  • Be able to follow lesson plans or create your own

Main Responsibilities:

  • Short term planning/ making resources
  • Supporting SEND and SEMH children
  • Managing difficult behaviours
  • Marking
  • Taking the register
  • Supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing a number of teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff, pupils and parents
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
