Rate: £162.31 – £223.63 per day
Monarch Education is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Teacher to join a Voluntary Aided Catholic School in Abingdon. The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is situated in a lovely area near the centre of Abingdon, offering a beautiful playground and field for the children to enjoy.
This is a flexible role, with the school happy to consider both full-time and part-time applicants (including a potential job share arrangement). The successful candidate will start after Easter and have the chance to work in a nurturing and supportive environment, contributing to the development and learning of Year 5 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils, following the national curriculum and the school’s ethos.
Assess and track pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback to ensure their continued development.
Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring all students feel supported and motivated.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain an environment conducive to learning.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support the educational and personal development of the students.
Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Primary Schools, preferably in Key Stage 2.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
Passion for teaching, with a commitment to the welfare and development of children.
A positive, enthusiastic approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Catholic ethos experience or willingness to work within a Catholic school setting.
